Easter Brunch at Château de Montcaud: A Family Weekend in the Gard
It's springtime in the Gard. The first buds are bursting forth in the park, the air smells of fresh earth and wild herbs and somewhere amongst the trees on our estate, two golden eggs are waiting to be discovered. Welcome to an Easter weekend unlike any other at Château de Montcaud.
This year, we wanted to make this long weekend so much more than a simple family break. This is a true seasonal highlight, with the Château fully open for the occasion. All our spaces, the entire team, the whole spring atmosphere. Designed so that young and old alike can fully embrace it, at their own pace, somewhere between Provence and Languedoc, where it's wonderful to gather in the spring.
An Easter brunch, just the way we like it
On Sunday, 5th April, our chef Matthieu Hervé kicks off the season with the first grand spring brunch of the year. And when he does something, he does it properly. Generous buffets bursting with the colours of spring, seafood platters, homemade cheeses and charcuterie, seasonal salads bursting with the scents and flavours of the local market… And over at the brasero, meat, fish and vegetables gently grill to the rhythm of the musicians who provide the day's entertainment.
And to finish on a sweet note? A carousel of desserts so irresistible, you’ll wish you’d saved more room or simply started there.
The Easter brunch is offered at €85 per person, including fruit juice, water and hot beverages.
The Easter egg hunt: for little ones… and grown-ups too!
Because it would be far too easy to reserve the adventure just for the children! After brunch, all guests are invited to take part in our traditional family Easter egg hunt across the five hectares of the Château's park. The youngest participants will leave with the chocolates they have gathered from the bushes and flowerbeds - enough to fuel their already vibrant energy.
But for the adults, two huge golden Easter eggs have been carefully hidden somewhere in the park. Those lucky enough to find one will discover it contains a surprise suitable for the occasion that makes it worth looking carefully behind every rose bush.
Our Easter weekend package
For those who wish to really make the most of the long Easter weekend in the South of France, we have created an all-inclusive package, available for two nights between 3rd and 6th April, 2026.
Here's what your family stay at the Château could look like:
- Upon arrival, chocolates and a bottle of wine will be waiting for you in your room – because good things should not have to wait.
- Two nights in the room of your choice, subject to availability.
- A buffet breakfast each morning, to ease gently into the day.
- Two three-course dinners at the Bistro de Montcaud (excluding drinks), giving you the opportunity to savour our chef's cuisine in a setting you are familiar with… or one that you will love discovering.
- Our Easter brunch on Sunday, including live music and the egg hunt.
- And to end on a relaxed note, a guaranteed late check-out until 3pm, because good moments deserve to last a little longer.
The Easter weekend package is available from €1,116 for two people, depending on the room category chosen.
A few additional details for your reservation: the stay must be prepaid in full at the time of confirmation and cannot be combined with other current offers. In the event of cancellation, no-show or early departure, the full amount of the stay remains payable.
