Château de Montcaud

Contact and directions: how to find us
Our hotel is located in the South of France, more specifically on the edge of Provence, in the hamlet of Combes in the municipality of Sabran. Sabran is off the beaten track. This makes Château de Montcaud the perfect hideaway, an insider tip for everyone looking for authentic French savoir-vivre and a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nevertheless, our hotel is not completely cut off from civilisation: historic cities such as Avignon, Uzès and Orange are close enough for a day trip, and the nearby Gorges of the Ardèche offer breath-taking natural scenery.
Easily accessible by car, train and plane
By car, the A7 motorway (“Autoroute du Soleil”) is a good option. We are also easily accessible by train: the French TGV high-speed train serves both Avignon and Orange. Finally, the nearby airports of Avignon, Nîmes and Marseille guarantee regular connections to several European cities. On request, we will be happy to pick you up if you arrive by train or plane.
A secret hideaway
Although we like to be considered a hideaway location, our guests should be able to find the Château de Montcaud effortlessly. The municipality of Sabran consists of eight hamlets, including the Hameau de Combes, in which we are located, and – which often leads to misunderstandings – the Hameau de Sabran. Unfortunately, not all car navigation devices show the direct route to the hotel, which is why two signs on the main road leading to Combes mark the way. As these can also be overlooked, we have prepared a printable document containing a map and directions which can be saved on your mobile phone should roaming or GoogleMaps be unavailable.
