Exclusive Truffle Weekend in Provence
Come and harvest the autumn treasures of Provence in the South of France! For one exclusive weekend in November (14th to 17th), Château de Montcaud is all about truffles, wine and other seasonal delicacies.
Truffle hunt
The first highlight of our thematic three-night stay is visit to “La Truffe du Ventoux” where guests will spend the morning and noon with the Jaumard family, who have been making a name for themselves as truffle growers in Provence for three generations. Enjoy a day out in the charming hills of the Vaucluse, the region that produces 70% of the truffles sold in France. Accompanied by the Jaumard family and their dogs, we will go in search of the black diamond.
Wine tasting
On the way home after a successful truffle-hunt, we will stop off at the Domaine de La Rémejeanne, where you can enjoy an exclusive wine tasting. This exciting day will be rounded off with dinner in our Bistro de Montcaud.
Cooking class
The second day is filled with more interesting activities. After breakfast, Matthieu Hervé, head chef of the two restaurants at Château de Montcaud, awaits you in his kitchen for an exclusive cooking course. Prepare delicious truffle dishes under his guidance, and indulge in a lunchtime of tasting what you’ve prepared!
Olive oil
In the afternoon, we will visit another traditional producer of our region. We are delighted to introduce to you the Thomassot family and their award-winning olive oil – the basis of every good cuisine. At the end of this thematic weekend, you will be spoiled once again with culinary delights in our gourmet restaurant Le Cèdre de Montcaud.
