Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Andrea and Rolf Bertschi, two former globetrotters with Swiss roots. After spending many years in far-flung corners of the globe, we are pleased to have found a new home for ourselves and our two children here in the South of France.

Born hosts

Rolf’s heart and soul lie in hotels. While working for global hotel management companies for over 20 years, his dream has always been to run his own hotel. Andrea comes from a family of restaurateurs and has shared this dream from day one.

A happy coincidence

Together, we imagined what our perfect hotel would look like – a place where luxury and simplicity meet service, comfort and beautiful natural scenery. So it felt like fate in 2016 when we were asked if we wanted to take on the project of renovating and later running Château de Montcaud. It wasn’t long before we knew that we would have to seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
